On April 19, 2002 a conference was held in Moscow devoted to the establishment of the National Staffordshire Bullterrier Club (STBT Club).

THE OBJECTIVE of the NATIONAL STB CLUB is to bring together
THE PUROPSE of the National STB Club is to bring together SBT owners
(associations, societies, clubs and kennels) cultivating the breed on the
whole territory of the Russian Federation, to improve the quality of SBT
population in accordance with international standards, popularization of
Staffordshire Bullterriers and providing conditions for a full diclosure of
SBT owners' creative potential.
National SBT Club membership is voluntary. Kennel rganizations, owners of
private kennels and individual owners registered in RKF and breeding
Staffordshire Bullterriers, irrespective of their geographical location,
complying with the RKF and National SBT Club Charter can be members of the
Natinal SBT Club. To enter the National SBT Club an application is to be
submitted. The number of the National SBT Club members is unlimited.
Member's Code
A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL SBT CLUB, AN OWNER OF A STAFFORDSHIRE BULLTERRIER, recognizing the responsibility for the future of his dog and the whole breed, shall provide the best conditions for keeping the dog, which includes the following: appropriate food, veterinary service, protection, attention to and care for their dogs;
shall never take any actions leading to the defamation of the breed, shall exercise proper control their dogs' behaviour;
shall never train the Stafford for fighting with other dogs; shall realize that the Stafford is not meant to protect the man and training a Stafford for action against the man will definitely result in damage to mental health and defamation of the breed;
should he be unable or unwilling to keep his dog for some reason, shall do everything for the dog to find a new home;
The only purpose of BREEDING should be :
breeding physically and mentally healthy Staffies with temperament which is typical of the breed, desirable type and characteristics typical for the breed;
criteria for selecting dogs for breeding are to be based on the conformity with the Breed Standard , genetic soundness and origin to make a decision that the selected dogs are in the best physical condition, possess the nature and temperament which are typical for the breed and are free of any serious hereditary diseases or faults;
no female shall be mated to any male without a pedigree or to a dog of a different breed, no female shall be mated before the age provided for in the current Breeding Regulation of the RKF;
no puppy shall be sold with a fault preventing its keeping as a companion;
Puppies cannot be sold before they are 45 days old, without the proper brand, as well as to be used for fighting or guarding;
the breeder is not only to provide proper conditions for the puppies' full physical and mental development, but after selling them he is to offer detailed assistance to their owners;
THE MOST IMPORTANT
Advertisement is to be true and polite in respect of other dogs or owners and cannot damage their reputation;
the owner of a Stafforshire Bullterrier shall not participate in person, support or encourage the use of Staffords against any animals or the man;
participating in competitions and shows you should refrain from using impolite, false or humiliating statements about experts, competitors and other owners;
a well-bred dog and a conscientious owner shall not give cause for discriminating the breed by adopting certain laws.
DUTIES
Joining the National Staffordshire Bullterrier Club you are obliged not to violate Staffie owner's Code deliberately and not to commit acts or make statements leading to the defamation of the breed or people engaged in it;
You realize and agree that in case of violating the provisions of this Code you will be excluded from the members of the National STB Club.
